Carolina Santos is a Postdoctoral researcher at WJCR, with a background in evolutionary and comparative psychology, and developmental psychology.
Her main research focuses are parent-child interactions and children’s social-emotional development, with a strong focus on behavioral and observational measures.
Carolina is currently involved in the implementation of a Video Feedback Intervention for caregivers that promotes positive parenting, sensitive discipline, and parent-child bonding (funded by Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian; PI: Manuela Veríssimo); a research project examining the behavioral and physiological similarities and differences between the different types of behavioral inhibition 2023.17826.ICDT; Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, PI: António J. Santos); and a project exploring the interference of parental cellphone’s use on parenting and child’s emotions (2024.15654.PEX; Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, PI: Eva Diniz).
