Beatriz Almeida is a Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology. She earned both her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from ISPA. Her main research interests focus on enhancing the judicial system for vulnerable populations, with a particular emphasis on improving investigative interviewing techniques for vulnerable victims within the criminal justice system. As a Tutor at ISPA, Beatriz teaches “Introdução à Psicologia Forense e Criminal” and serves as a Research Assistant at the William James Center for Research (WJCR). Throughout her academic career, she has developed expertise in statistical methods, providing valuable support to students in understanding core statistical concepts and their application in psychological research. Her role includes guiding students in grasping key methods used in data analysis and assisting them with practical exercises to develop their statistical skills for academic success. Beyond academia, Beatriz actively participates in COST Action CA22128, working alongside international experts to promote the implementation of the Méndez Principles and advocate for the ethical treatment of vulnerable individuals within the legal system.
