Carolina Santos is a Postdoctoral researcher at WJCR, with a background in evolutionary and comparative psychology, and developmental psychology.
Her main research focuses are parent-child interactions and children’s social-emotional development, with a strong focus on behavioral and observational measures.
Carolina is currently involved in the implementation of a Video Feedback Intervention for caregivers that promotes positive parenting, sensitive discipline, and parent-child bonding (funded by Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian); and a research project examining the behavioral and physiological similarities and differences between the different types of behavioral inhibition (f: BIAL Foundation and Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia).
She also maintains a consulting role at the Humboldt Science Center for Child Development atLeipzig University (Germany), from her previous postdoctoral fellowship, more specifically within the “Liebkind–the Leipzig longitudinal study of kindness” project.
