Catarina Oliveira is a PhD fellow in Developmental Psychology. Her research project aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an early intervention and prevention program targeting criminal trajectories. This project is developed in partnership with the Child Development Institute in Canada and is funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Sciences and a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology. Her publications focus on prevention practices, rehabilitation, and social reintegration. Her research also explores the potential impacts of the prison context and the validation of criminal risk assessment instruments.
Her main professional experience involves providing technical consultancy to the courts in criminal and juvenile justice proceedings, particularly in cases of high complexity.
