Dora d’Orsi

Dora d’Orsi is a Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology since 2022. She received a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Ispa in 2022 and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Universidade Católica Portuguesa in 2020.
Her research focuses on parenting, parental well-being, family relationships, and father involvement from developmental and dyadic perspectives. Her doctoral research uses longitudinal and dyadic methods to examine the personal, relational, and contextual determinants of parental stress during the transition to parenthood, with a particular interest in how mothers and fathers influence each other’s adjustment across pregnancy and the postpartum period.
In 2026, Dora was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the Family Involvement Lab, University of Maryland, under the supervision of Dr. Natasha Cabrera, where she collaborated on research on parenting and child development. She is also a teaching assistant for undergraduate and master’s courses at ISPA, supporting classes in research methodology.
More broadly, Dora is interested in using quantitative and qualitative approaches to better understand the psychological processes underlying parenting, including parental cognitions, coparenting, and gender dynamics within families.
