Eunice Carmo is a PhD candidate studying Forensic Psychology and Sexology at the Center for Psychology at the University of Porto, with a PhD grant funded by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (2022.11986.BD). Her research project consists in a Cluster Randomized Trial of a new sexual violence primary prevention program for adolescents: the SUN Program. She is also a certified Psychologist (CP 30257) working as a clinical psychologist at Clínica Lage & Neto, a Victim Support Technician and Trainer. Eunice Carmo is a member of the Comissions for Sexual Violence and National Sexual Health Day and Media of the Portuguese Society of Clinical Sexology. She has a BSc in Psychology from King’s College London (awarded a First Class Honours Degree), a Specialization in Forensic Expertise from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto and a Master’s Degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto. Her Master’s thesis focused on the perceptions of Portuguese professionals regarding online sexual grooming. This work resulted in one peer-reviewed paper published in the Journal of Child Sexual Abuse. Her main research interests include the prevention and intervention on sexual, domestic and gender violence. Eunice is also a reviewer for peer-reviewed scientific journals and her doctoral research is being conducted under the supervision of Professor Joana Carvalho.
