Guilherme Hoffmann graduated in psychology from Universidade Positivo in 2019 and earned his Master’s in experimental psychology from Universidade de São Paulo in 2023. Specializing in the experimental analysis of behavior and interested in animal behavior, his master’s dissertation explored the self-imposed timeout from positive reinforcement, a phenomenon observed in fixed ratio reinforcement schedules. Guilherme is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in psychology at Universidade de Aveiro, exploring experimental tasks such as midsession reversal tasks, suboptimal choice, and ephemeral reward tasks, in hopes of understanding animal misbehavior and choice.
