Carlos F. Silva’s main stream of research deals with biological rhythms, psychophysiology and psychosocial factors. He integrates concepts and techniques from psychophysiology (quantitative electroencephalography, evoked potential and peripheral biological signals) and social psychology (laboratory research and surveys) to develop theoretical models and intervention procedures. The results of his research have applications in evidence-based evaluation and intervention methods and materials in the domains of shift work, work ability, psychosocial factors, and clinical and forensic neuropsychology.
