Laura Maciel is a psychologist and a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology. Her main research interests focus on adverse childhood experiences, such as childhood sexual abuse, and the prevention of delinquent and criminal behavior. Her doctoral project Capacitar Pais & Comunidades focuses on adapting to the Portuguese population a parenting intervention designed to help parents deal with childhood behavior problems.
