Margarida Ferreira de Almeida is a psychologist and a Ph.D. Fellow at Ispa – Instituto Universitário. In 2022, she finished her Master’s Degree in Psychology with a systematic review and meta-analysis on meaning in life and posttraumatic growth in cancer patients. She was the co-author of two book chapters on psychological adjustment and interventions for posttraumatic growth. Currently her research focus is the process of adjustment to end of life and bereavement, through meaning-making and posttraumatic growth. Her PhD research project “Finding Meaning in Loss: Meaning-Making and Posttraumatic Growth in Adjustment to Grief” is funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology, with the reference 2023.00702.BD. Other research interests include psycho-oncology, palliative care, bereavement, meaning in
life and spirituality.
