Soraia Monteiro’s main research interest is neuropsychology, with a particular focus on neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation. She got her Psychology Bachelor’s degree in 2016 (Universidade de Aveiro, UA). Thereafter, she started her journey on neuropsychology at the Neuroconsortium (Instituto de Ciências da Saúde da Universidade Católica Portuguesa and Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada) and she finished her Master’s degree Neuropsychology (ICS-UCP and ISPA) in 2019. Her dissertation project focused on cognitive training, intituled “Impact of the use of the online cognitive training plataform PrimerCog on the cognitive funtioning, daily life activities and quality of life of older adults with MCI”. Afterwards, she worked on neuropsychological rehabilitation, neurodevelopmental disorders and learning difficulties. Currently she is a PhD student in Psychology at Faculdade de Psicologia e Ciências da Educação da Universidade do Porto. Her PhD project is being supported by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (SFRH/BD/06678/2021) and focuses on neuropsychological assessment throught videoconference. Her work is being supervised by Fernando Ferreira-Santos (FPCEUP) and co-supervised by Isabel Santos (UA) and Nick DeFilippis (Atlanta Psychological Associates – EUA).
