Professor Miguel Basto Pereira (WJCR, ISPA) is the first Portuguese researcher to be distinguished with the 2025 ESC Early Career Award by the European Society of Criminology (ESC).
This award recognizes the scientific excellence of researchers in the field of criminology within the first ten years after completing their doctorate.
